Less thought...more action.

Rebuilding my skills from the foundation up. I think I have some good instincts and ideas on what to do/practice...but dedicating the time and the follow through is a different story. Maybe I've been focusing too hard on what to do instead of just doing.. Any-who; this year, less thinking, more action!!!

Venom (Flash Thompson)

Been without internet for a month or so so I guess its time to play catch up. Here's a sketch I did of the Flash Thompson 'Venom'. So far it's been a good exercise. It took me forever (like a whole day) but I did it as fast as I could. I def need to get faster, but as they say "get good, get fast, and then get good and fast"!

100 Faces Pt 4

Admittedly, last week was a very unproductive one. Anyway, no excuses, I'm back. Slowly but surely I'm getting there; so here we go again..

Hurricane Sandy...no better time to draw..

Stuck at home in the middle of a hurricane watch...what better to do than draw. Looks like a day of practice, character concepts, and catching up on anime. Prayerfully we won't lose power.. Wish me luck.

Faces from memory...so much harder..

On the downside of all this; tho I feel that I'm getting better with drawing these faces from reference and all, I'm starting to get really frustrated for other reasons. In spite of my progression with photos, I'm getting worse drawing from memory. I've been trying to do some Loomis inspired heads today and they've been pretty bad. Even worse then they wore before all of this.
